The tram continued to amble its way around the small city, and Roxas still hadn’t decided where he was going to go. He thought maybe he’d check out Sunset Hill, or wander around the tunnels under the city. Hmm, he couldn’t make up his mind; neither one held any particular interest for him, other than wasting time.
Before he could make a decision his thoughts were interrupted. Roxas’s head whipped around as he heard his name being called out. The girl next to him was looking at him expectantly, and she looked a little exasperated. Roxas was confused for a moment before his brain finally clunked into place.
“Oh, Rikku! Sorry, I didn’t notice you, I was spacing.” He grinned as he greeted his friend. He hadn’t seen Rikku in a while, so it was great to catch up with her. “What are you doing here in Twilight Town?” The tram slowed to a stop as more passengers got on. If he wanted to go to the tunnels he should get off now, but he didn’t know where Rikku was headed, and he didn’t want to cut their reunion short. The tram started moving again and Roxas sighed, turning back to face Rikku.
Rikku leaned against the seat her eyes blinking slowly at the passengers in front of her. It’s been a while since she went on a public transportation more less a train. Usually, it’d either be by foot or by the Celsius with the Gullwings hopped aboard. The teen sighed; until her thoughts were disturbed.
“Aye! It’s alright Roxas, I mean we all space out sometimes don’t we?” The teen smiled wrapping her arms around the male for a comforting hug before she departed. It’s been a while since she last saw Roxas. It felt like decades. He looked rather well in that fact erasing the bags under his eyes then you got a bright new Roxas!
“Well, I’m here on a mission Roxy! It’s such a pain but really fun too! I don’t know if you met my bestie forever Paine yet? She told me to come down here and expect me to find a bunch of spheres! Seriously…what the heck?! Where is—hey Roxas!” The blonde spazzed, smacking her backhand against Roxas’s shoulder a wide grin spreading across her lips. “Why don’tcha help me?! I know you know this place by heart! Or at least better than I can. I didn’t even know I was on a trainstop until Paine dumped me here!”
Rikku returned the smile of this friendly looking teenager. “Hey Korra nice to meet ya! The name’s Rikku Highwind;; daughter of Cid Highwind the famous air pilot.” She waved her hands excitedly. “Saaay what is this place? It’s pretty big if ya ask me! Oh wow the sky is really blue! Are skies usually that blue? Or am I just hyping things up?!”
Korra nodded at the long introduction a bit lost since she didn’t know this famous person, but she guessed it probably just wasn’t something she knew since she had been kept locked up in the south pole. “Yeah I think they get that blue, they’re pretty nice in the south pole too. We’re in republic city right now.”
“Republic City?” She asked thoughtfully; hands cupped behind her back. Unsure what she could say Rikku smiled politely before continuing. “Wooooow! Talk about a unique place huh?!”
“This place seems totally awesome! I never been here before, say mind giving me a tour Korra?!” The teen smiled brightly before the avatar. It’s weird, wondering how in the world she ended up here. Possibly…another mission? The question was still unclear whether the sphere hunter was sent here or just crashed down to this unknown world. After all, Rikku should be more grateful for this girl’s presence.
